Black Cherry Caipirinha
For best results with this cocktail, look for fresh sour cherries at the farmers’ market.
Serves 1
1 lime, cut into 8 wedges
6 sour cherries, pitted and halved
sugar
Agua Luca 12X Filtered Cachaça
fresh lavender
crushed ice
Place lime and cherries in a sturdy 12-oz. glass. Muddle until juicy. Add 1 oz. simple syrup (see below). Then, add 1.5 oz. Agua Luca 12X Filtered Cachaça. Fill glass to rim with crushed ice. Shake or mix well with a spoon. Garnish with a sprig of fresh lavender, and serve with a cocktail pick for the cherries.
Make simple syrup by boiling equal parts sugar and water until the mixture is clear. Cool. Optional: infuse with lavender by adding a sprig of the herb while cooling, but remove before using.
