Tuna Poke
Serves 4 to 6
1 lb. center-cut tuna, diced
1 Tbsp. sesame oil
2 Tbsp. soy sauce
1 Tbsp. honey
1 tsp. scallions, minced
½ tsp. cilantro, chopped
1 Tbsp. black or white sesame seeds
½ c. fresh wakame or hijiki seaweed (optional)
½ Maui onion, sliced thin (substitute any sweet onion)
1 avocado, peeled and diced
1 Tbsp. pickled sushi ginger, chopped
salt and pepper, to taste
Mix all ingredients in a bowl, except avocado and sushi ginger. Fold in avocado and sushi ginger just before serving. Serve with fried wontons, sesame crackers, or corn chips for dipping.
